Obligation to submit E2
Those who earn income from leases, grant free of charge or use real estate in Greece are subject to the tax.
Information such as the address of the property, surface area, floor, PPC supply number, tenant’s full name, VAT number, lease protocol number, lease period, percentage of co-ownership and resulting income are some of the information that must be filled in the form.
In fact, it carries the detailed rental table as an explanation of the codes to be filled in on the E1 form.
Purchases, donations and other actions relating to all immovable property must be reported on form E2.
It is advisable that the tax return is submitted by professional tax advisors as the Greek legislation is complex and constantly changing, making it impossible to follow the Greek tax system even for a well-informed taxpayer.
The forms are completed electronically, through the Greek taxisnet information system, using the personal codes (username/password) and submitted annually from February to June each year.

The resulting income is taxed according to the provisions of the law in force at the time.

Please note that the rent amounts filled in should be derived from the filed with the tax office or electronic lease signed between the landlord and the tenant. Caution is required as the cross-checks made by the central department of the Ministry of Finance attract penalties.
